Romeo and Juliet (Dire Straits); drum cover by Sina

3 years ago, I launched my most popular drum cover so far: Sultans of Swing. It got more than 28M views as per today but it’s also my most controversial cover. Many Dire Straits fans complained that I ignored the drum the part as originally recorded by Pick Withers. Instead, I covered the style of Terry Williams’ Alchemy Live version. What can I say? I was young and I needed the money!

Only joking… Today’s cover of Romeo and Juliet is my apology to Pick Withers and all Dire Straits fans. I tried hard to recreate the studio version note by note and I’m very impressed with Pick Withers’ original drum recording. This is some of the most tasty but also dynamic drumming I could possibly think of. Hopefully I didn’t mess this up again!
