I hope you enjoy my rendition of "Historia De Un Amor", a precious musical pearl that touched the hearts of millions of people around the world. This bolero was composed by Arturo “Chino” Hassán in 1955 and the lyrics was written by Carlos Eleta Almarán after the death of his brother’s wife, both artists were Panamanians.

The song achieved rapid success as it was used in 1956 as a soundtrack in the Mexican film of the same title directed by Roberto Gavaldón and played by Libertad Lamarque and Emilio Tuero. Later it was also included in many other films.

It is considered the most internationally recorded and performed Panamanian song in fact over the decades, many versions of the song have been produced in various languages and by several nations. It was sung by Italian artists such as Laura Pausini, Il Volo and many international artists such as Dalida, ZAZ, Guadalupe Pineda, Los Paraguayos, Julio Iglesias, Louis Miguel, Nana Mouskouri, Il Divo Hélène Ségara and many many others.
